Interest Groups

These small groups provide opportunities for members to meet others who share a similar interest.

BOOK GROUPS

Great Decisions: An educational and discussion activity sponsored by the US Foreign Policy Association.

Happy Bookers: Read and discuss a variety of fiction and nonfiction books.
Meets the third Tuesday of the month, 1:30 p.m., in members’ homes. 
Morning Book Discussion: Expand your reading horizons by reading works outside your usual type of reading.
Meets the first Wednesday of the month, 10 a.m., Rogue Valley Manor Clubroom.

Murder Most Literary: Read a variety of mystery books.
Meets the first Thursday of the month, 7 p.m., Rogue Valley Manor Chetco Room.

BRIDGE

Afternoon Dessert Bridge: An afternoon of bridge and dessert.
Meets the first Wednesday of the month at 12:30PM in members’ homes.

 Bridge For Fun: Enjoy playing bridge in a relaxed, fun atmosphere.

COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES

ACT (AAUW Community Team): Supports activities in cooperation with community organizations such as
the Maslow Project and Jackson County Foster Parents’ Association.

DINING

Dinner Is Never Enough (D.I.N.E.): Explore the wide range of
restaurants and cuisine offered in the Rogue Valley.
Meets the fourth Thursday of the month, times TBA, in local restaurants.

International Cuisine: Members cook and eat fine foods from around the world.

DOMESTIC ARTS

Antique Studies: Members take trips to antique stores and hear presentations by members about antiques
and collectibles.
Meets the last Wednesday of the month, 1:30 p.m.

Evening Needleworkers: Bring your needlework project of any kind to this enjoyable group.
Meets the third Tuesday of the month, 7:30 p.m., in members’ homes.

OUT-OF-DOORS

Garden Joys And Tribulations: For the gardening enthusiast.  Share gardening tips, visit members’ gardens and more.

Southern Oregon Outdoors: Activities selected by the group include hiking, biking, rafting, skiing,
snowshoeing and other enjoyable sports in the beautiful Rogue Valley.
